AUTO STATE INSPECTION TESTING

Johnson College is accepting registrations for the next Pennsylvania Vehicle Safety Inspection course. The course requiremcats include 12 classroom hours, a written test and a two-hour tactile test scheduled independendy with the instructor. All must be completed before receiving certification from PennDOT.

Details:
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date of payment. Class size is limited to 25 students so participants are encouraged to register early. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid operator's license for each class of vehicle they intend to inspect.*

Classes will be held in the Automotive Center of the Weaver Building or the Truck Repair Center.

Cost:
(price includes classes, written test and tactile test)
$160 per person
$6 for manual

Add $40 for motorcycle tactilc test.
Add $40 for heavy duty tactile test.
Add $40 for Enhanced Vehicle Safety Inspector Exam**
Add $35 for Document Reviewer Certification**

As of October 31, 2006 you can become an Enhanced Vehicle Safety Inspector or a Certified Document Reviewer!

Enhanced Vehicle Safety Inspector Exam
Eligibility:

• Safety Inspection Mechanic Certification Card
• Valid Driver's License

For those who successfully pass the exam, you will be certified to perform enhanced vehicle safety inspections on reconstructed, specially constructed, modified, flood, recovered theft, collectible vehicles and street rods, as well as review, assemble and complete related applications and documents.
Cost: $40

Certified Document Reviewer
Eligibility:

• Valid Driver's License

For those who successfully pass the exam, you will be certified to review, assemble and complete applications and documents related to reconstructed, specially constructed, modified, flood, recovered theft, collectible vehicles and street rods.
Cost: $35
