Emissions Inspector

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has developed a web-based training program for technicians to become certified in the Pennsylvania Vehicle Emissions Inspection and Maintenance (I/M) Program for the Northern Region. Johnson College is approved by PennDOT to proctor the emissions test. Please note: Only new inspectors and inspectors with expired certifications are required to attend a proctored exam. Certification renewals can be done directly through the patrainingportal.com website. Exam fees are paid to PennDOT; Proctor fees are paid to Johnson College.
