Biomedical Technology Instructor/Program Director
Johnson College is currently seeking a full-time Biomedical Technology Instructor/Program Director. The Instructor of Biomedical Technology is responsible for performing all aspects of instruction for assigned program to include, but not limited to, implementing, revising, and evaluating assigned program area curriculum; utilizing all resources available to innovate and to change to meet evolving program and industry needs. The technical instructor provides up-to-date skills training & instruction to meet the learning needs of students.
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of an associate’s degree with a bachelor’s degree preferred with a concentration in biomedical equipment maintenance and have 4 years of documented work experience in the field.
Johnson College is currently seeking a custodian. This position is responsible for the overall upkeep of the College, which includes housekeeping, grounds, and set-ups. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid PA driver’s license, be able to lift up to 80lbs, and be able to follow written directions.
Hours for this position are 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday-Friday.
Director of Financial Aid and Certifying Veterans Official
Johnson College is currently seeking a Director of Financial Aid/Certifying Veterans Official. The Director of Financial Aid assumes responsibility for the integrity of financial aid, ensuring that policies are updated regularly and that internal controls are enforced. The Director is responsible for the oversight of the operations of the Financial Aid Office. The position will actively serve students and their families through financial aid related services ranging from educating prospective students about the financial aid process, awarding various aid programs, and educating students about the importance of good financial management while providing first class customer service. The Director will work collaboratively will all departments to ensure student success.
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred. Must have 5 to 6 years of experience in financial aid with managerial experience preferred.
Electronic and Automation Instructor
Johnson College is currently seeking an Electronic and Automation instructor. The position responsibilities would include instructing students with principles and applications. Academic instruction will include classroom lecture and hands-on activity. The ideal candidate should have experience with programmable logic controllers (preferably Logix 5000) and variable frequency drives from the Allen Bradley family; industrial motors and control. A working knowledge of troubleshooting control software and hardware is a plus.
Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate should have the ability to speak confidently in front of a small crowd, a passion for recruiting into the skilled trades, and flexible work schedule hours to include day/evening classes. Currently looking for part-time instructors for Fall 2021 semester.
An Associate’s degree is preferred, with at least 4 years’ experience in the electronic, electrical, or electromechanical field.
English Adjunct Instructor
Johnson College is currently seeking an English/Composition instructor to teach courses as assigned. Teaching duties may include English Composition and Technical Communications. Previous experience teaching writing on a collegiate level preferred. Availability in morning, afternoon, evening desired.
Qualified candidates will possess a Master’s Degree in English, English Education, or Journalism. BA in English with advanced degree in an another discipline or teaching experience considered.
Physical Science Instructor
Johnson College is currently seeking a part-time Physical Science instructor to teach introductory physics and math courses. Teaching duties will include Introduction to Physics, physical science electives, and mathematics courses as needed. Related duties include participation in department and committee meetings, college functions, and course and curriculum development for both in-person and online courses. Previous experience teaching labs and hands-on learners is desired. A commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level and effective oral and written communication skills are required.
Qualified candidates will possess a Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field. BS in Physics with advanced degree in an another discipline or teaching experience considered.
