Northern Region Emissions Testing
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has developed a web-based training program for technicians to become certified in the Pennsylvania Vehicle Emissions Inspection and Maintenance (I/M) Program for the Northern Region. Johnson College is approved by PennDOT to proctor the emissions test. Please note: Only new inspectors and inspectors with expired certifications are required to attend a proctored exam. Certification renewals can be done directly through www.patrainingportal.com.
- Exam fee: $39.99 paid to PennDOT
- Proctor fee: $35.00 paid to Johnson College.
- Testing is offered every other Thursday at 4:00 pm
- Applicants will be required to show a valid driver’s license
