Registration Process

Step 1: Reserve Your Testing Date
Call 570-702-8981 to reserve your exam date. Please have the following information ready:

• Your full name as it reads on your license
• Your driver’s license number
• Your preferred testing date from the schedule below. Testing is offered every other Thursday from 4:00–5:00 p.m.

Step 2: Purchase the Online Training
Visit the PA Training Portal www.patrainingportal.com to purchase the required course for $39.99.

The name of the test is “EV – Northern Emissions – Visual/Gas Cap Only – Limited to Testing Vehicles in the Northern Region”

Step 3: Study Training  Materials – Review the PDF study guide and computer training and at your own pace before your scheduled exam.

Step 4: Confirm Your Attendance – Contact Johnson College at least 24 hours before your scheduled test date to confirm your attendance and ensure your name is included on the testing roster.

Test Day Information: Please arrive no later than 3:45 p.m. for the 4:00 p.m. exam.

Location: Ideal Saldi Hall, Johnson College – Scranton Campus

Parking: Visitor parking is located on the south side of the building beneath the large oak tree. Enter the building through the Visitor/Main Entrance.

Bring With You – Please bring the following items:

• Your valid driver’s license
• Your PA Training Portal login and the security questions and passwords you created when setting up your PA Training Portal account.
