Support Our Students,
Support Our Students,
The goal of Johnson College’s Women in Industry initiative is to provide networking opportunities, collaborate on different industry projects, and provide support to each other and future generations of women in industries that are still often considered “non-traditional.”
In 1912, Mr. Orlando Johnson left the bulk of his estate to establish and maintain a trade school and his purpose became the mission of Johnson College as an institution “where young men and women can be taught useful arts and trades that may enable them to make an honorable living and become contributing members of society.”
For over 110 years, Johnson College has served the community by preparing young men and women for the workforce. Industry partners and community members like you are what keep Johnson College moving forward.
With this future in mind, it is imperative that we continually connect with those who inspire us and push each other to be better.
Some of the initial objectives and conversations for this group include:
Women from the construction, transportation, electrical, HVAC, and electronics community will provide perspective and assist in developing ways in which we can support ideas and plans for our region to support women in industry. Joining the group means you can share your expertise with other aspiring women and help benefit the students of today, and those in the future. To join email industrywomen@johnson.edu
