Forklift (Powered Industrial Lift Truck) Operator Training Course
Saturday, May 30 | 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. | Scranton Campus
The forklift training course is designed to familiarize students with OSHA Powered Industrial Truck Operator Training Requirements (29CFR Standard 1910.178 and ASME B56.1), provide current training requirements under the newly adopted standards, and assist participants in becoming an authorized operator of forklifts through theory and tactile testing. The course cost is $200.

NFPA 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace Course

Join our WAVE team and Steve Vidal, PE, Electrical Safety Trainer, for an in-depth training on NFPA 70E, the nationally recognized standard that supports OSHA compliance for electrical safety. This course is designed for anyone working on or near energized equipment and focuses on practical ways to reduce risk and prevent serious injuries. Participants will learn how to identify electrical hazards such as shock, arc flash, and arc blast, perform basic risk assessments, and apply safe work practices. The training also covers proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), approach boundaries, lockout/tagout procedures, and key updates from the latest NFPA 70E standard. The course cost: $375
Tai Chi Workshop

Join a three-week Tai Chi workshop led by Master Instructor Wayne Wolfe, a teacher of traditional Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan with over 30 years of experience. Participants will learn a nine-minute motion group designed to circulate energy throughout the body in a relaxed and mindful way. The workshop, held on the Scranton campus, is suitable for all fitness levels and offers benefits for both body and mind. The cost for the full three-week workshop is $50.
285 Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Training Course
June 8 – August 27 | 4 p.m.–10:15 p.m. | Scranton Campus
This 285-hour non-credit certificate Computer Numerical Control training is designed for individuals looking to enter the high-demand machining field. The program covers the theory and hands-on practice of both conventional and computer numerical control machining fields. In addition to math for machinists, emphasis on the use of metals and the stresses placed upon them will be taught. Total cost of the 285-hour training is $5,000.
Pharmacy Technician Training Course
June 11 – August 6 | 6 p.m. –9:30 p.m. | Hazleton Campus
This comprehensive 50-hour program will prepare students to work as a pharmacy technician in a retail or other pharmacy setting and to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB exam. Through classroom lecture and hands-on labs, students will review dosage calculations, drug classifications, the “top 200 drugs”, I.V. flow rates, sterile compounding, dose conversions, aseptic technique, the handling of sterile products, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control, and billing and reimbursement. Total cost for this course is $1,650 (includes Textbooks, PTCB exam voucher, and PTCB prep course).
Medical Assistant Training Course
June 15 – September 28 | 5 p.m.–9:30 p.m. | Scranton Campus
This 260-hour program prepares students to assist physicians by performing clinical functions in a medical office. This includes preparing patients for examination and treatment, performing routine laboratory procedures, administering pharmacology, and taking and documenting vital signs. Students will also learn the fundamentals of phlebotomy and venipuncture, as well as anatomy & physiology and medical terminology. Upon completion, students will have the option to take the leading national/industry recognized National Healthcareer Association’s (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam. Total cost for this course is $6,000 (includes textbooks and exam voucher).
