Johnson College Receives $25,000 Contribution from Mount Airy Foundation

Mount Airy Casino Resort today announced a $25,000 gift from the Mount Airy Foundation to Johnson College’s Annual Fund. The contribution reinforces Mount Airy’s ongoing commitment to empowering local students and investing in workforce education across the region.

“We believe that investing in education is one of the most meaningful ways to support our local community and strengthen Northeastern Pennsylvania’s economic future,” said Lianne Asbury, Vice President of Security and Administration at Mount Airy Casino Resort. “Johnson College plays an essential role in preparing students for high-demand technical careers, and we are proud to support their mission through the Mount Airy Foundation.”

Johnson College leadership expressed deep appreciation for the Foundation’s investment in their students and expanding campus footprint. “We are truly grateful for the Mount Airy Foundation’s generous $25,000 gift to Johnson College’s Annual Fund,” said Dr. Katie Pittelli, President & CEO of Johnson College. “Gifts to the Annual Fund give us the flexibility to direct resources where they can have the greatest impact, from strengthening hands-on learning and student support to ensuring our programs, technology, and learning environments continue to evolve alongside the needs of today’s workforce. This type of support helps us provide students with the real-world education, skills, and experiences they need to enter and advance in in-demand careers.”

The partnership highlights both organizations’ shared dedication to fostering talent, career readiness, and economic opportunity in the regional community.
