Responsibilities of the Standards Working Groups (Developed with the assistance of AI)
Each of the seven Standards Working Groups has been tasked with addressing one of the Standards of Accreditation to support the development of the College’s Self-Study Report. Alongside developing their respective sections of the report, each group is also responsible for guiding the collection and organization of supporting evidence.
Their duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Participation in a training overview of the Standards of Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation, institutional priorities, evidence requirements, and lines of inquiry.
- Addressing the lines of inquiry for the assigned Standard and recommend refinements to these lines of inquiry.
- Developing the various sections of the Self-Study.
- Holding regular meetings, which should be documented in meeting minutes that are saved to the Working Group’s folder on SharePoint/shares drive.
- Storing and tracking all collected evidence in the Group’s assigned folder on SharePoint/shares drive.
- Meeting all critical deadlines set forth within the College’s Self-Study schedule.
- Utilization of existing assessment and institutional effectiveness data to assess the College’s strengths and weaknesses in relation to the Standard.
- Producing outlines and drafts demonstrating compliance with the applicable standard assigned to the Working Group.
- Periodically reviewing the Self-Study narrative for the applicable standard and evidence to ensure criteria are thoroughly addressed and institutional priorities are aligned.
- Consistently engaging institutional stakeholders in gathering information and feedback during the development of the self-study.
- Participation in the Fall 2028 site visit.
Responsibilities of the Evidence Working Group (Developed with the assistance of AI)
The Evidence Working Group will serve as the core entity responsible for gathering, organizing, and ensuring the quality of all supporting documentation that proves the College is compliant with MSCHE’s Standards of Accreditation. The primary function of the Evidence Committee is to transform the College’s operations and data into a compelling, factual case for reaffirmation of accreditation through the following items:
- Identifying, collecting, and archiving all official documents, data reports, policies, meeting minutes, assessment results, and other evidence needed to support every claim made in the Self-Study.
- Reviewing the collected evidence that supports the accreditation standards to identify any areas where documentation is missing, insufficient, or fails to demonstrate compliance.
- Working with applicable institutional units to fill in potential gaps in the Evidence Inventory.
- Ensuring the evidence provided to the Evidence Inventory is relevant, current, persuasive, and accurate.
- Creating and maintaining a secure, organized repository on Sharepoint/shares drive for all evidence, making it easily accessible and cross-referenced for the Standards Working Groups.
- Encouraging campus-wide understanding that decisions and continuous improvement efforts must be data-driven and documented, which ultimately reinforces institutional effectiveness and quality.
