After achieving a second year of record-setting enrollment this fall, Johnson College is announcing that tuition for the 2021-2022 academic year will not increase. The $17,700 annual tuition cost set for fall 2020 will freeze for the upcoming year.
Dr. Katie Leonard, President & CEO, is proud of Johnson College’s ability to alleviate student debt burden. She shared, “A second year of record-setting enrollment and smart fiscal management have led directly to this tuition freeze and our overall level of affordability for students.”
Dr. Leonard cites the College’s high, in-field placement rate of 86% as a key reason students choose to attend the College. Johnson College programs are in-demand and its graduates have proven to be a large part of the essential workforce that fuels the economy. Dr. Leonard said, “The strong relationships the College has with industry partners has resulted in local, desirable, live labs through the industry immersion program, internships, and student exposure to industry from day one. Our industry partners guide our curriculum to ensure that our students become talented, essential employees who fill employer workforce needs. In a nation where students can be anything, at Johnson College they choose to be essential.”
The tuition freeze will increase students’ return on investment. Bill Burke, Vice President of Student and Academic Affairs, shared, “Johnson College’s two-year degree programs, focusing on careers in essential industries, have the highest ROI in the short-term because students enter the workforce sooner and with less debt.” Johnson College ranks #1 for immediate return on a graduate’s investment for education among local institutions based on a 10-year return, according to a recent Georgetown University study.
The majority of Johnson College students – 93% – receive some type of financial aid. Enrollment is still open for the spring 2021 semester which begins on January 19th. The fall 2021 semester begins on August 30, 2021. Learn more about enrollment at https://johnson.edu/future-students/enrollment/.
